UTK Ecosystem Restoration

Thank you for taking the time to enjoy our ecosystem restoration in progress! In a collaboration with the University of Tennessee Facilities Services, the Applied Ecosystem Restoration class (FWF 324) plans and initiates a restoration of a small section of land on campus and monitors areas started in previous years. The goal is to assist the recovery of a fully functional, self-sustaining ecosystem that provides an abundance of ecosystem services such as water and air filtration, nutrient cycling and a home for a diverse population of native plants and animals.

The map below shows the year in which restoration began in this area. Data will be posted as it becomes available. Thank you to all past FWF 324 students for your hard work and dedication!
