Secure major professorDuring first semester
Form committee, prepare outline of proposed coursework
and research work plan
Within first two semesters
Apply for admission to candidacy for Master’s degreeNo later than commencement day of the semester
preceding the semester of graduation
Diploma application deadlineDeadline date will be available at registration
Deadline for submission of thesis final draft to committeeTwo weeks before oral exam
Deadline for scheduling oral examNo later than one week prior to the oral exam
Formal written announcement of oral exam
distributed to School of Natural Resources faculty
At least three days in advance of oral exam
Deadline for taking oral examAt least three weeks before the final date for
approval and acceptance of thesis by The Graduate School,
Deadline for non-thesis students is two weeks later
Presentation of school or professional seminarPrior to last day of semester of graduation
Deadline for final approval of thesis
by Graduate School thesis consultant
No later than two weeks prior to commencement
