The UTK Wildlife and Fisheries Society received the 2024 Student Chapter of the Year award at the 78th Southeastern Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies Annual Conference from Dec. 9-13 in Augusta, Ga.
The student organization won the same award last year.
Society members Marguerite Oakey, Ethan Roberson, Haley Gipson, Lillie Duffy, and John Garland attended the conference and said it was a great networking opportunity. They also learned about working for state wildlife and fisheries agencies.
