Eighty-four people from 18 states and two Canadian provinces traveled to Knoxville, Tenn., from Oct. 8-10 for the 2023 Joint Conference of Southern and Northeastern Mensurationists.

School of Natural Resources Assistant Professor Sheng-I Yang organized the conference denoted as 2023 SOMENS & NEMO.

The conference brought together people from various sectors to discuss and explore the latest advancements and opportunities in forest biometrics and measurements.

Participants used the conference for knowledge exchange, networking, and collaboration among industry partners, government agencies, organizations, and universities.
