The Herbert College of Agriculture recognized current Forestry and Wildlife and Fisheries students along with a School of Natural Resources alumnus at its awards reception in April.

Wildlife and Fisheries Science student Cohen W. Eastridge received the Armistead Award. The award recipient is a full-time student in Herbert College and graduate of a Tennessee high school who has earned the highest-grade point average through the fifth semester.

Herbert College honored Forestry student Jared E. Beeler by naming him a Spring 2023 Top Graduate. He is one of five students who received the award.

UT alumnus Michael Butler received the Distinguished Alumni Award. Butler graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife and Fisheries Science. He currently serves as the Tennessee Wildlife Federation CEO. Butler is also a presidential appointee, on the Tennessee Valley Authority Regional Energy Resources Council and a Lone Oaks Farm fundraiser.

Congratulations to this year’s award winners!
