The UT Forestry Club came in fifth overall at the 67th annual Association of Southern Forestry Clubs (ASFC) Conclave at the University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM) from March 19-21. The fifth-place finish is tied for the club’s highest-ever finish.
Seventeen students and two faculty advisors traveled to Monticello for three days of competition and camaraderie with other forestry clubs.
A total of 14 clubs competed in the conclave. Kaitlyn Taylor brought home second place in women’s bow saw, and Jackson Daniels won second place in timber estimation.
This year marked the 55th time the UT Forestry Club competed at conclave after its first appearance in 1968. The last time the club came in fifth overall was in 2016.
Congratulations to the UT Forestry Club!
