Students and their advisor shined at the Tennessee Chapter of The Wildlife Society’s annual meeting from March 6-8 at Paris Landing State Park.
Jake Bones and Ellie Burken both won Best Student Presentation for their talks titled, “Assessment of deer forage quality in Southern pine stands following fire” and “Northern bobwhite non-breeding season survival varies across Tennessee quail focal areas,” respectively.
The Tennessee Chapter of TWS named the society’s advisor and faculty member Lindsey Phillips as president-elect, and UTK WFS Wildlife President Ashlyn Smith won the dessert competition.
The society’s members also participated in various activities related to wildlife.
