The Southeastern Section of the Wildlife Society honored the University of Tennessee Student Chapter of the Wildlife and Fisheries Society with the 2023 Student Chapter of the Year award at the Southeastern Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies conference in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Lecturer and Society Faculty Adviser Lindsey Phillips accepted the award on behalf of the society and presented it to the organization and its student officers at their meeting on Thursday, Oct. 19 in Knoxville.
Herbert College of Agriculture Interim Dean David White and Associate Dean John Stier attended the meeting where the award was presented.
Thirteen student chapters submitted applications for the award.
